I was thrilled to be selected as a winner of the 2009 One Book Many Brisbanes short story competition. My other recent publications include my SF novella The Eyes of Erebus, which was short-listed for the 2007 Aurealis Awards in the SF section (Daikaiju2: Revenge of the Giant Monsters - Agog! Press).

My story Within Twilight was short listed for the 2002 Aurealis Awards in both the SF and horror categories. My Urban Fantasy short Journeyman appeared in the Fantastical Journeys to Brisbane Anthology, edited by Geoffrey Maloney, Trent Jamieson & Zoran Zivkovic.

I've published around fifteen shorts and novellas now, including my novella Flight of the Phoenix, which is set around 30 years prior to the start of The Calvanni. This was published in the Fantasy Readers Wanted- Apply Within anthology (Silver Lake Publishing), which was shortlisted for the 2005 EPPIE awards.
